Run for a Life 5K’s
Calling All Supporters! We’re Seeking 2017-2018 5K Benefit Race Coordinators!
Please consider helping orphans by organizing a walk or 5K run! We’d like to have our annual 5K this year, but, better yet, we’d like to have a few of them in varied locale.
To accomplish that, we need help finding a person, group, club, or family to organize a race–no matter where you live! If you would like to take on this challenge or know someone who would, please contact me at janh@200orphanagesworldwide.org.
Each coordinator and team will set the date, route, and race specifics in collaboration with our office. We’d love to have someone take the race challenge as a class project or some other kind of charity challenge.
No experience is necessary–we will train you! We need someone with lots of energy and passion who is great at throwing parties or hosting events. We provide marketing support and any other assistance for your event. Our volunteer staff will help seek sponsors to make the race a success.
Are you interested in helping with a 5K or other race? Let’s do it!
In the past, our race has raised from $2,000-$3,500, and it would be great with your help to exceed that. This may not seem like a lot of money, but it has helped in so many ways over the years. In the past, the 5K’s have helped complete funding for this Mercy Home Orphanage In India. We’ve also raised funds to help complete the HIV/AIDS home for Angel of Mercy in Cameroon.
Please note that the participants in the 5K choose our event because they know they are helping orphans in some way. This is so encouraging to me and I hope to you as well.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 this year for new partners in Burundi and Cambodia, as well as other projects of your choice. The needs are great; we know we can’t do it all, but we can all do something!
We’ll be seeking sponsors, having a raffle, and encouraging participants to find sponsors to fundraise for their run. Your participation in our Run for Orphan Charity 5K, means so much! This is your chance to make a direct impact in the lives of orphans.
WE CAN’T DO IT ALL, BUT WE CAN ALL DO SOMETHING!
Last year was amazing and fun–here is our previous post:
THE FROZEN CHOSEN! They CAME! They ran! They enjoyed the cold! The 5K on March 21 at Snap Fitness at 305 5th Ave. S. St. Cloud raised about $2,500 thanks to runners and sponsors. We’ll be using it for electricity for the Angel of Mercy Orphan Home in Cameroon.
