Driving Change Holiday Event A GREAT SUCCESS!
Board Members Sarah Rodrigues and Melind Lele organized the Driving Change Showcase in conjunction with University of Washington Foster School of Business Holiday Event December 15. The event raised a little more than $1,000 and went toward helping to complete the purchase of the bus for MyLifeSpeaks in Haiti and was doubled because of a donors generous $7,500 matching grant. The bus cost $15,000 and those funds were combined with other donations to complete the goal. 200 Orphanages sent $15,000 to MyLifeSpeaks and the bus is expected to arrive in May! Thank you to all the attendees and artists and donors at this fun event!

Our partner myLIFEspeaks places orphaned children in Forever Families with a mom and dad, sisters and brothers, and other extended family of the houseparents. The families receive training and support in caring for the special needs child. They are supported by myLIFEspeaks staff and work as a team with volunteers, teachers, medical care providers, physical therapists and other support staff to provide the best care possible.
The children and their families are fully integrated into the community, attending church, school, and social functions. myLIFEspeaks is committed to accepting only true orphans, those who do not have parents or have been abandoned, into their care.
