Ashirvad Books $650 Funded

Funded! Jordan and Nicole Hanson hosted a fundraiser in Minnesota for books for the Ashirvad Library in India. They raised about $2500, more than enough to buy the books and additional furnishings for the library. Watch for project progress photos!

Nicole is an adoptee from India and has a special place in her heart for the kids at Ashirvad. Extra funds raised at the Dancing Hand in Hand Event were used to build a small library on site for the kids to enjoy reading. Now they need books!

The Give Hope, Share a Story Dinner begins at 5:00 pm at the Upper Room at Grace Evangelical Free Church in Fridley MN (park in back and enter through door D). There will be Indian food and Nicole will give a short presentation about the orphanage and the charity.

There will also be a drawing for some great door prizes for those who attend. We are asking for a suggested donation of $25 per person, but we’d like you to feel free to attend and donate whatever you are able.

Please note, we will not be able to accept donations of actual books, because they are not easy to send and many of the books we provide will not be in English.

200 Orphanages Worldwide is an all-volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which means that donations are tax deductible, and EVERY DOLLAR given at this event will go to benefit the Ashirvad Children’s Home.
